Hey, it’s Laur Elle. I find 3rd person bios kinda weird, so here's something a little different. I was born in the U.S. and moved fifteen times before I ended up in Canada at age eleven. I grew up in a small city in southern Alberta, where I trained as an Elite level gymnast for most of my early life and didn't have time for much else. It wasn't until late in my high school years that I dove head first into the world of music. I started by writing poetry as an angst-filled teen, then picked up a guitar and fell in love with song writing.I got sidetracked by the real world and went to University and graduated with a degree in education (I hated every minute of it). Now I’m doing something that I am passionate about—something that makes me feel whole . . . music. I'm working on my very first EP, and I am super excited to share my thoughts with the world.

BASEMENT83’s modern creative songs draw inspiration from Electronica, Pop and Dance music, creating a cross-genre, distinctive sound.

The four friends combine their unique influences and varied musical backgrounds, carving a dynamic and organic hybrid sonic experience for their listeners.
