KuuL born Eddie Lee Shaw, Jr in Southside Jamaica Queens got into music playing the clarinet at 8 years old. Drawing inspiration from Kenny G who he learned to play along music became a burning passion. He would take that musical inclination and get into rap music at age 15 after listening to Jay-Z’s Blueprint 2 and watching then Smack dvd’s. Taking to Jay-z business acumen and rap content, Dr. Dre and Pharell’s production styles along with Rakim, Big L, Andre 3000 and Lil wayne’s rhyme schemes, KuuL embarked on an independent artist Journey. Releasing his first single “Rugged” in 2015 after Statik Selektah played it on his Shade 45 Showoff SiriusXM radio show followed by his single “Let’s Go See” which was spun on South Carolina’s Hot103.9 fm radio station in 2016. In 2017 he Released “The Offering” with a lead single “Link With Legends” produced by now Roc Nation’s Statik Selektah also premiered on his Shade45 Showoff SiriusXM radio station. 2020 He’s lead with a win with his latest single ‘WIN".
