Art has always been a prominent force that has continued to play an integral role in Pasadena-based rapper 0hjay's life. Despite growing up in project housing, the female MC has been well-versed in visual art attending a performing arts school since childhood.

Often compared to Jean Grae due to her hard-hitting lyrics and delivery, her influences include R&B songstress Anita Baker, Jazz saxophonist Kenny G and Hip Hop deity Nas. The Crowd Molesters, her first solo effort, paid homage to golden era Hip Hop with its clever lyricism and nod to traditional West Coast rap.

As a former student of graphic design at Chicago's Columbia College (once attended by Kanye West), her eye for creativity can still be seen in the stunning self-directed visuals for "I Heard It Was Beautiful" off of her follow-up album, Inadequate Love. The experimental project features celestial beats and melodic crooning that manages to somehow resemble the lush voice of Missy Elliott at times.

As 0hjay continues to engage in her innovative and hands-on approach to photography, videography and music, her skillset and passion as a multifaceted artist will undoubtedly help her gain recognition as one of the most groundbreaking artists in the game.
