The 18-track odyssey stars the vocal talents of Jam Baxter, Dirty Dike, Mr. Key, Ronnie Bosh and Ed Scissor tongue, in conjunction with the warmly seductive production skills of Twomanysteps, Mr. Constant and Kerem Fraiche. Named after the most terrifying phase of Micro Machines, CP formed in London and slithered to Brighton, assimilating a slew of new talent along the way. Ruthlessly terrorising the nightlife up and down the country, they have forged an enduring reputation and devoted fanbase. To date they have played alongside any British rapper capable of constructing a worthwhile sentence, as well as established US stars like Necro and De La Soul. 

Champion Fraff takes you on a journey through moods and atmospheres. From the innocent exuberance of the self titled Contact Play, to the tanked-up sleaze of Juicing and the woe of Falling Innit, CP display an emotional range equivalent to fifty Fifty Cents. Tongues are firmly wedged in cheeks throughout, allowing abstract fantasy, “you can use my tunes to shave your stupid face” to coexist with sharply observed bleakness, “we’re all great friends til the dawn breaks”.
