
Since 1998 Pete Girdy A.K.A Peeda Pype (PYPE) has been striving to turn his love for music into the career of his dreams. Developing from artists to producer to engineer to Multi-faceted Business Executive, PYPE is a powerhouse to be reckoned with. Hailing from Victoria, TX, his first music endeavor was a collaboration with a five member group called T.G.S (Throwed Game Spitta’s). While their 2000 self-titled release, Throwed Game Spitters (Pod Up Record Group) claimed regional success, PYPE’s career blossomed when he advanced to the final round in the Sony Music Group Artist competition, sealing his glorious fate as a stand out MC. Riding the wave of his Sony success PYPE released his first mixtape, Ballin For Positon, in 2002. This is where Peter Pipe graduated from small town MC to Businessman. Determined to get the project to the people independently, PYPE developed a marketing and distribution strategy that took South Texas by storm. Ballin for Position sold thousands of copies trunk to trunk and Peeda Pype had carved himself a position in the local industry as not only a fierce emcee but a business man with a vision and relentless work ethic. After attending Houston Community College for Music Business and Audio Engineering and honing his knack for distribution, marketing and producing, PYPE explored his newfound skills and natural abilities on his first major release entitled Street Medicine (2004) on Peter Pipe Music Group. “Street Medicine” produced the regional hit “What Yo Name Is”. By this time he had gained a reputation as a worthwhile and sought after engineer. PYPE’s diligence, work ethic and brilliant ear has afforded him opportunities to perfect his unique sound while working with artists like Z-ro, Lil Flip, Big Hawk, Grace S.U.C, Lil O, Mia X of No Limit Records and Boo Bossolini of C.T.E. He has held his own performing alongside platinum artists like Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug and an array of other artists such as Big Moe, Lil Troy, Webbie, Charlie Boy and Big Pokey. In 2006, Peter Pype decided to venture into artist development. Armed with Stikks, a Philly hard head lyricist and Kidd Kutta, a southern boss with serious swag. The Gutta Boys were a trio like none other. Their 2006 digital release Get Gutta or Go Home was beastly. PYPE’s skills as a producer/engineer were better than ever yet the group soon parted ways. Anxious to explore new business endeavors PYPE took sabbatical from the music industry in 2007 to develop his management skills running a Fortune 500 franchise. After achieving reputable entrepreneurial and managerial success in corporate America, PYPE began to yearn for his true passion, Music. Shortly, PYPE was ironically summoned by several Labels and artists to consult in company restructuring and artist development. With the success of those ventures, and currently attending Full Sail University Peeda Pype declares, “There is no turning back! I gotta do me!”
