I do it for the sake of enjoyment, and my advice is not to take yourself to serious. After all this is supposed to be fun!!
The passion others have for creating music, is a passion for me to listen to and share with others. If I feel emotional content in your music, I will listen with openness, and share it with as many people as possible. 
On a very personal level this medium of "musical communication" is easier for me at times to "speak" with, so please keep making new "words, and phrases" so that "we" may have a larger vocabulary..
