TACKS, THE BOY DISASTER

Moving ahead with the doughty resolution of a Colorado River steamboat, the good ship Tacks, The Boy Disaster are ready to release their full-length debut album.

“Twelve Lions Paws” was recorded in their home town – Austin Texas, and was produced by the band and Danny Reisch (White Denim, Okkervil River, Shearwater) at Good Danny's studio. With a work rate that would make Steely Dan look like The Ramones, it's fair to say that “Twelve Lion Paws” has had a prolonged gestation. Tacks (yes, just Tacks is okay, we're all friends here) popped their heads over the parapet with the early “Oh Beatrice” EP; before the stuff of life – parenthood, relocation, changing line ups – waylaid the best made plans of bands and men.

Drawing strength and wisdom from these breaks in transmission; Tacks prevailed: deacons of perseverance. Finally, with summer in the air, this lush, atmospheric record of dreamy textures mixed with sun-drenched harmonies is ready to find a place in your heart.

The first taster track for the album is the glorious “Treasure Hunters”.
