This track is the Calaminus remix / re-arrangement of the original released splendid guitar tune of Dan van den Berg (https://soundcloud.com/danarchx) called "Spark of Light"

Well, to be honest: it's not based on the whole track, only on the two rhythm guitars Dan thankfully provided to me. These rhythm guitars alone for themselves inspired me so much cause for me they deliver their own melodic appeal and deserve their own approach due to that. So I asked Dan for the permission to take them as the foundation for my personal version of his tune.

What did I do?
I made 4 guitars out of the 2 original guitars from Dan, re-structured their musical development, added a complete new instrumentation with my own arrangement to them (incl. solos), mixed it all together.  
While the original pace of Dan's tune is 155 bpm, the one here is half-timed (77,5 bpm). In comparison to his original not only this pace has changed...

I can only invite you to listen to both tracks - not only for comparison. Dan van den Berg is an outstanding guitarist and sophisticated composer ranging from Rock, Prog and Fusion to Flamenco and always worth a deeper listen...

For something different and because I need the practice I thought I would try doing something based around a Mode. I decided to try Lydian and stated playing around with Ideas until I came up with this.
I think it has some interesting color to it. I hope you enjoy it
