Bio: THOMAS STIELER

Was gibt es besseres für eine gute Party, als einen leidenschaftlichen, authentischen und offenen DJ mit langjährigen Producer-Skills? Stimmt, nicht viel. Und Thomas Stieler vereint diese drei Tugenden par excellence – ein Perfect Match also für jeden House-Liebhaber.
Denn House ist sein Sound, seine Welt, sein permanenter Antrieb. Seit über 15 Jahren schon. Aufgewachsen im thüringischen Saalfeld sammelte er bereits Platten, bevor er überhaupt einen Plattenspieler hatte – echte Vinyl- und Musikliebe eben. Ab 2005 hatte er dann seine ersten DJ-Gigs und machte sich mit seinen anspruchsvollen, subtil groovenden Sets schnell einen Namen. Doch Thomas wollte noch intensiver in seine Lieblingsmusik eintauchen und eigene Spuren hinterlassen. So fing er an, selbst Tracks zu produzieren und bekam viel Zuspruch. Dies motivierte ihn umso mehr, den eigenen Weg konstant weiterzugehen.
Abseits kurzlebiger Hypes und gleichermaßen inspiriert von alten und neuen Platten hat Thomas Stieler mittlerweile seinen Sound gefunden: House in allen Facetten – klassisch, deep, minimal, treibend, ab und an sogar technoid. Als DJ begeistert er die Crowd neben einem feinen Gespür für die jeweils passenden Tracks auch durch seine typischen, ebenso eleganten wie spannungsgeladenen Stieler-Übergänge. Und diese Mixe lassen sich regelmäßig live erleben, darunter in einigen der besten internationalen Clubs.
Auch wenn es Thomas mittlerweile nach München verschlagen hat, bleibt er seiner Heimat treu – nicht nur als Resident-DJ des legendären Leipziger Clubs Distillery, sondern auch als fester Teil der Paracou-Crew um Mathias Kaden. Über ihn ergab sich auch die gute Verbindung zur Muna, einem der dienstältesten Clubs Deutschlands. Und bei der Jenaer House-
Institution Freude am Tanzen erschien eine seiner ersten EPs. Sie war der Einstand für zahlreiche weitere viel beachtete Releases auf Labels wie Lauter Unfug Musik, Rotary Cocktail Recordings, Biotop und Blind Vision Records. Es werden nicht die letzten gewesen sein.
Denn soviel ist sicher: Die leidenschaftliche und offene Reise von und mit Thomas Stieler geht weiter.

Olf ist Dj and digger in Wien. Durch sein offenes Ohr für verschiedene Genres von elektronischer Musik, ist sein Geschmack vielseitig und geht von Downtempo bis Techno. Seit 5 Jahren konzentriert er sich vor allem auf unterschiedliche Stile von House und mit seinem alter Ego "Discolf" auf Funk. Seine Dj Sets zeichnen sich vor allem durch groovy basslines aus, die mit wobbely und verspielten sounds unterlegt werden. Der Mix für IT WORKS ist voll mit Tracks, die Olf in letzter Zeit gerne aufgelegt hat und reicht von funky House, treibenden Microhouse, bouncy Deep Tech, bis hin zu Breaks und Indie Dance. Viel Spaß.

Olf is a vienna based Dj and digger. Due to his open ear for different genres of electronic music, his taste is quite versatile. For the last 5 years he has been mainly focusing on different styles of driving house music and with his alter ego “discolf” on funk. His Sets are characterized by groovy basslines, hissing hi hats and clapping snares, which are underlaid with wobbly and fussy sounds. The mix for it works is full of tracks that Olf has recently been playing in Vienna, ranging from funky house, driving microhouse, bouncy deep tech, to breaks, spacey sounds and indie dance.
