In the lead up to the release of my DJ Kicks on 16th June I'm giving away (one a week throughout May) the four tracks I've produced over the years that I'm most proud of - 'Mbira', 'Pause', 'Sequential Circus' &amp; 3000AD. Last week was 'Mbira', next up is 'Pause'. With 'Pause' I really wanted to try and write something with a big recognisable lead line rather than just deep pads and atmospherics....as a result this track took bloody ages to get right - but in the end I was really pleased with it and it does work the dance floor really well if I do say so myself! Xinobi has been part of the Nurvous family for almost 3 years now which is practically the beginning!  I was just now listening to his earlier cuts.  While I still love them you can hear how Xinobi has stayed forever a student of music as his sound has matured and really growing into his own style.  

"Spend The Night" has really big sounding crazy arp, I don’t know how else to describe it but that it stands out and will be memorable in a good way!  
"Cacao" shows Bruno’s more playful side, it’s just a really fun track.  I can picture it being played on a rooftop with the sunshine and a brief rainstorm!!!!  seriously though, listen to it.

About the Ep: 
Remember when Jannowitz records released Octopussy EP by BOHO and Maksim Dark early this year? Remember when we already spoiled you with our outstanding remixers Stefan Biniak, Acumen and Justin James? Remember when we promised you that you would hear more from our delicious Octopus? Well, the JAW family KEEPS ITS PROMISES! Octopussy was such a success that we asked completely new faces to join Jannowitz records and play with the Octopussy. And we couldn't believe what happened next. Three of our favourite producers said yes. The headquarter went crazy! The result is nothing less than an entire Octopussy Remix EP touching everything between house and techno - just like the original EP. You are very welcome!Our first remixer need no introduction. Betoko has been a legend for years. There is a lot the London based producer could brag about: releases on Diynamic, Get Physical, Einmusika, Katermukke; shows at almost every club you have ever heard of. Ans still he took the time to deconstruct Octopussy. His remix dripping with bits and details you will recognise from the original and new little add-ons - notably a kick as strong as we like it. Two words to our second remixers: Township Rebellion. Moonootica's Moonbootique, Oliver Koletzki's Stil vor Talent, Reiner Zonneveld's Filth On Acid. And now: BOHO's Jannowitz Records?! These two humble guys have stormed the electronic music world within very short time. Their tracks always seeming to tell an epic tale from a far away land. And that is exactly what Township Rebellion did with Octopussy. The synth-melody floating above the 9-minutes-masterpiece makes it sound like something sent from heaven. Our favourite: The break - one of Township rebellion's signature elements. There has to be another way. Stay with me. - These words give us the shivers. And apparently all of our remixers as well.Betoko kept them. Township Rebellion kept them. And our third remixer kept them as well. Kellerkind is our second Stil vor Talent act on this EP. He has been in the business for more than a decade and knows his shit. His housy Octopussy edition surprised us by using a lot of elements from the original but still achieving to sound totally different from the blueprint. Rounding Octopussy Remix EP off with nice vibe and some new killer members of our family.

'The Dutch upcoming artist Colyn (@colynmusic) is the one who puts a stamp on the third EP of Infinite Depth. With two spacey and great mixed originals he laid more than a good foundation for the remixers. The title track ‘Passengers’ got remixed by the French brothers Esoteric Circle (@esotericircle) and the second original ‘Orbital Hypnosis’ got infused by the one and only Erly Tepshi (@erlyofficial).  

With the first track ‘Passengers’ the EP immediately starts off pretty determined. Soon the firm kick gets accompanied by a some pounding drums and well placed spacey synths, sounding like passengers finding their way through our universe chased by those thrilling drum sounds. 

Esoteric Circle managed to take the thrilling part of the original to a higher level with their remix. The spacey synths are making place for an appealing melody which increases the tension. This tension holds on till the very end of the track.

After being in a continuous state of space and tenseness the third track ‘Orbital Hypnosis’ adds some euphory. With its compelling break and hypnotical plucks it keeps you in a higher state of mind.  

Erly Tepshi’s remix takes you even a little bit higher by using this compelling melody as main flow through his remix. Only this flow makes some unexpected changes at the points Erly injected his typical, sometimes even distorted, plucked synths. With a heavy a breakdown almost at the end of the track this remix brings the EP to an end.'

Rotten Roots is an İstanbul based techno music producer born in
Ankara(96’). Acknowledging the underground scene of both İstanbul
and Ankara, Rotten Roots have found his identity by combining melancholic and progressive leads with techno
structure. Defining his music as the combination of dark background of culture and modern european touch, he has proven his music for both local and international audience. 

He entered the scene with valuable self releases “Alqualonde” and “Lucid”. After the intense studio time, his new album “Forbidden Dimensions” consisting 8 unique tracks will be released on “Mercurial Tones” on January 6th, 2020. 

All tracks are peerlessly produced yet all are connected to each other with theme of “Space and Time”.

Rotten Roots is an artist with already lot of experience on stage. His sets are involved with dark and melodic harmonies completed by driven techno drums and groove.

Contessa's vibe is unmistakable; whether it be deep progressive at a festival sunrise, or hard techno in an after hours warehouse. Contessa is the co-founder and organizer of Hollywood's Sunday night weekly event, Sunday Sanctuary. Founded in 2015, Sunday Sanctuary is devoted to underground techno and deep house, showcasing both local and international talent.
Contessa has signed multiple tracks to the UK based label, and appears on the albums DTLA (Deep Tech Los Angeles) Volume 1,2 and 3. DTLA has been highly successful, hitting Number 1 on Beatport all 3 times. Contessa’s work has been supported by numerous DJ’s, including Steve Lawler, Riva Star, Pirupa, Sirus Hood, Henry Saiz and Him_Self_Her.
