Reset Robot is no stranger to Truesoul. Having had 3 previous releases this new EP is his best yet. Starting with the title track ‘False Widow’, Reset Robot introduces a low throbbing sound to give the initial groove of the track before the cyclic melodic synth gives the track its character. ‘The Measure’ uses a delayed stab to create a big impression whilst it layers itself over a swelling pad sound that whisks itself in-and-out of the track before a vocal stab is introduced. ‘Doug Dougan’ is a slowed down jam that uses a more melodic bass line to the rest of the EP. The underlying pad sound builds and rises to create the tension within the track before exploding back into a chugging groove. The fourth track ‘Hello Wendy’ is also on the slower side of the EP and creates a cool groove by combining percussion and a groovy bass line to work synonymously.

Slam’s new three track single flawlessly encaptures the modern Drumcode sound. Movement trundles forward with snare rolls and funky percussion. The synth line keeps the funky groove rolling along until the snare roll break where it then crescendos effortlessly back into the track. The Realms synth line weaves in and out of the beat, filtering up and down to create intensity before unleashing itself into aural pleasure. Irrational Numbers takes an unusual rhythmic synth pattern and creates a groove that will make the dance floor shuffle.  Layered with pads, the track uses depth to create a distinctive character.

Using rolling percussion and a thumping kick, Luigi’s four track EP starts with a bang as the title suggests; ‘Primo’ really is unbeatable! Luigi uses synth stabs that add character and finesse to this outstanding piece of music. ‘I Believe’ uses dubby drums and an infectious vocal to really tear things apart before dropping into a melodic synth section that will make anyone move. Tantra’s melodic groove synths help this early morning track really come into its own before the main melodic section, accompanied by strings, will take any clubber to their own dimension. Hypnotizek rounds off the EP being more upfront about where it’s going. This cheeky, groove based track will warm up a dance floor quickly and get people in the mood for a real party!

For the latest instalment of SCI+TEC's popular FORMULA series the label has been on  a globetrotting mission to gather members and music from all corners of the globe. Formula Four sees us bringing together Italy and London based artists alongside Miami, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

FORMULA FOUR kicks off with Mumbaya, the latest collaborative work from Paride Saraceni & Dema. With video evidence already circulating on the internet, this not so secret and now much sought after weapon of label boss Dubfire is ready for all to enjoy. 

From the hands in the air chants of the lead track to the deeper, sinister, dark space of Kachu MX's 'Mystery'. Minimal elements layered for maximum effect as our Mexican friend delivers an eerie techno touch. We go intergalactic with Bryan Brack's 'Astral' as he creates an vast musical expanse for his sounds to dance within. 

Omid 16B joins forces with Alex George on their SCI+TEC debut, 'Spider'. The fierce and relentless kick-drum throbs throughout as eastern strings are plucked and filtered and sirens cascade. Miami is our fourth and final stop and we are treated to the twisted grooves for Kevin Castro's 'Cubism'. The tightly wound melody unravels and compresses time and again as it climbs and falls, supported by its marching bassline.
