☜loopcrusher☞ is a german music-producer.
His realname is Holger Schneckenburger. He was born in 1974 in Stuttgart and grow up in Filderstadt, a city near Stuttgart.
Mainly he earn his money as IT-kid for differnt companies.
At the age of 7 he was very interested in the vinyls of his older sister and parants. His favourites in this time was David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Jean-Michel Jarre, Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield, Kraftwerk, Falco.... so, it is certain he is a child of the best 80s- and 90s-music. Until today hi is a fan of the best Classic-, Pop-, Reggae-, HipHop-, Triphop-, Heavy-, Metal-, Rock-, Punk-, Rock´n-Roll, R&B-, Rap-, Wave-, EBM-, Techno-, Acid-, Progressive House-, Rave-, Electro-, Minimal-, Dub Step-, Industrial-, Ambient, Chillout-, Trance-, Hardflour-, Breakbeat-, Dschungel-, Gabber-music. This much kinds of music makes him special influenced and build his own music style. With the age of 9 years he began to play with his mothers acoustic guitar and taked lessons in it. A short time later he got his first own electric guitar from his grandmother. Later when he had a Commodere C64, Atari ST, and Commodore Amiga he checked out produce his first guitar-computer-music with different sample-, tracker- and midisoftware. In this time he started to write songs with text and sang to it. Also he was a member in the schoolband where he played guitar and sang to some songs. In this time he began as DJ for schooldiscos and do this for different occasions till now. Later in education he met a guy which play drumms and they build a prachial-punkrock-band togehter with another guitarplayer and a bassguitarplayer. The name of the band was „Broken Circles“ (today the bandname is used by another band). Bevor and after the band rehearse he taught himself to play the drumms. Besides the different bandprojects he always improved his own digital music-projects on home computers, PCs and analog synthesizers, inspired by the Rolands TB and TR series in techno music. He followed the electronic music scene from beginning and celebrated the best techno-music in stuttgarts clubs. His favourite clubs were the „OZ“, „Nexus 6“ and the „M1“ because there were the best DJs. In the „OZ“ was real fantastic, fat laser projectors. Untill today he never stop making music and he will never give it up.

Does anyone even read these? 
If so, I grew up in the 80s and 90s playing video games, and listening to movie scores instead of the pop music everyone else listened to. In the year 2000, I started attending electronic events and initially learned how to DJ to make my own custom mixes, and played events up until 2017. I started learning how to play keyboards in 1990, inspired by the new age music by Kitaro and Vangelis. Even though I wanted to start learning how to produce electronic music since 2001, due to a lack of money, mentors and other hobbies, I didn't truly get my start until about 2011, as far as doing more than just edits and mashups. Despite everything I have learned so far, I am always learning new things, and still very much consider myself a student than a producer, engineer, or whatever.

I'm not yet on any labels, for the same reason I'm not married. I prefer to do music entirely on my own terms because I enjoy what I'm doing. When something isn't enjoyable because its too stressful or frustrating, it isn't worth it to me. I don't need to make money with music, because I get a monthly check from the VA for my military service. And I couldn't care less about being popular anymore than I did in high school. I had my go at that in 2004-2010 opening for the legends, and it was mostly an overrated experience where it was hard to tell whom your true friends really were. I'll leave it at that.

So....some might ask why most of the music on this page is a remake of a videogame track. Well here is why. As I said, I grew up in the 80s and 90s playing these games and listening to film scores. -- Back then, the sound technology in the original Nintendo and Super Nintendo, sounded nothing like music composed for film...yet still had melodies that would work if it had been. I'm talking more Legend of Zelda, Castlevania, and Bionic Commando instead of Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt. The Playstation 1 with Final Fantasy 7 was certainly that much closer, but the technology didn't get caught up until the Playstation 2 and PC games. -- So on many of the songs featured on this page, I had always wondered what they might sound like without the limitations. I will not say whether mine are better, I only compete against myself and worry about if I can make any of my reworks sound even better than they currently are. So I do re-upload a lot of the songs. -- The Secret of Mana - Star of Darkness rework for example, I think I might have re-uploaded 10 times in the last 8 years, and I'm not sure if I'm full satisfied with it. Needless to say, its far more difficult than using a midi file as a template and changing the instruments.

Latest update [October 2019]:
I just recently purchased Omnisphere and a ComposerCloud+ subscription with EastWest, which lets me access $15,000 worth of the best sounding instrument libraries. So I will be redoing all of the videogame music as I get more familiar with all of it. Currently, most of the older reworks use Nexus2 and factory Kontakt5 libraries. While I did manage to get the results I did get...I can make them sound even better, so stay tuned.

Xplore is a long time electronic music producer focusing on genres from deep house, downtempo to progressive house, trance and drum'n'bass / breaks. He started in 1996 creating .S3Ms for the PC Demoscene, got his first international release in 2006 with Pure Substance, and worked his way up since then. Today he releases on his own record label and few other major international record labels.
