Those BASTARD BASTARD Kirkz. Blastin out of Macclesfield with their rabid punk rock. This is lean, hungry music from the bottom of the food chain that won't just lie down.   

If we fed on recognition we'd be dead like the rest; if we craved the cash we'd have quit like so many others. The same four kids from 1998 have paid the dues and wrote the tunes. Call it punk, call it stupid, call it whatever the hell you want. We've been every inch of the country seeking nowt but the cred from the crowd, be it five or five hundred. Along the way getting leg-ups from some awesome people - too many to mention. 

But don't think this thing runs on nostalgia cos The Kirkz powerhouse is just sharpening its knives. We will tip up in your town and walk away with your show. The Ratz march on! 



HDP Productions is a London based tour management and tour production company.

Formed in 1984, the original line up was Larry Nicol [vocals] Big John Duncan ex-exploited [guitars] Gary McCormack ex-exploited [ bass] Robbie Bain [drums].

This line up recorded the 3-track ep 'Echoes Of War / Bad Connection / No Explanation' in 1984 on 7" Vinyl.

Larry and Big John recorded the single 'Cant Say No / Nuclear Attack' in 1985. on 7" Vinyl.

The band disbanded and Larry did a bit of driving and touring for a few bands over the years till 2004.

In 2004 Larry met up with Needles [Swellbellys vocalist] Gene [bass] Craig [drums] and they put the songs together for the 14-track debut album 'Regeneration' which was released in 2005 on CD.

Larry had a few different line ups over the next few years till 2008 and is now looking to put a new line up together with the view to record and release the next album.

The olive branch was originally a studio project created by Phil Todhunter, he had the good fortune to work with bands such as Smoke like a fish,Wobbly bob,Paul Carey, The downsetters and Sub-versive,,many demos have been recorded over the years and in 2010 the album SKAFUSION was released on waltjabscorecordings, Stan from WJR was instrumental in getting the album released has he produced and co-wrote half of the album, November 2011 The olive branch became a working band with Sam Jackson on guitar, Roger Mitchell on Bass his brother Stuart Mitchell on drums and Mick Spencer,(original drummer) on his favored instrument, keyboard. 2012 was a year to create the foundations of the band, we played some gigs, met some great people and extended our set list in 2013 we are still working hard and trying to improve all the time, the goal is to be as active on the gig circuit as possible, so if you are a promoter or know a venue who would welcome a band playing SKA,REGGAE,DUB,PUNK in their own original Yorkshire Yap stylee please get in touch...  

To describe The Olive Branch as a Ska band does not fully tell the tale, if you want to hear covers of Monkey Man and A Message to you Rudi etc then this band is not for you.

They mainly write their own material, and this group of ‘Yorkshire Pudding’, old-skool skanking, rude boys are still very proud of their ska roots. But there is much more to this band, when you can successfully fuse Reggae and Folk for example to create a unique sound then you really have to take your pork pie off to these lads who hail from Leeds and Bradford.

Capable, enthusiastic musicians writing songs about everyday life, these boys have been around the block, which is evident in the sharp sing-a-long songs, which will leave you smiling, singing and highly probably sweating.

An Olive Branch is actually an ancient symbol of peace and harmony, the band themselves are all about peace and harmony and a hell of a lot of skanking. Inspired by 2-tone, driven by Trojan and striving for originality T.O.B are on course to be a band you will find it hard to forget

The Reggie Mental Band are a ten-piece ska and reggae covers band who formed nearly a decade ago. The line-up features three vocalists and a three-piece brass section. They gig regularly throughout the Lancaster and Morecambe area (and further afield occasionally!)

Their live album "Live At Lancaster University" - recorded at The Grad Bar on campus in October 2010 - was released in December of that year and is available directly from the band.
