The Cheapers - Memories

Today I'm reaching out to get YOU involved.

I thought it would be a great collaborative experiment to involve as many people as possible in making a music video for my new track, Salt Lake. This tune's had some outstanding responses so far.

The Stereophoenix team and I are giving you an open platform to express yourselves through the medium of video; to be a part of something special and unique.

I’m calling out to each of you to tap into your creativity and submit 1 minute of original HD video footage for the music video to Salt Lake. It's an open source approach to making a music video, giving YOU a chance to be a part of something, rather than being passive observers.

The footage can be of whatever you like. Whether it's the world around you, some of your favourite things, a snapshot of your life, something (or someone) you love, or an abstract idea, this is your chance to express yourselves... just record it on whatever device you have to hand, at the highest possible quality.

Your film must be uploaded to YouTube and private link submitted for review to info@stereophoenix.com by January 13th 2014. If your content is chosen, we’ll send you a message with further information and instructions on submitting a raw file to us through Dropbox.

We'll gather all of the footage and, working with a small team of editors, bring it all together to make the final cut.

This is new territory for us, and we're excited. Join us and let's make it happen!

After a string of acclaimed releases on Token and a selection of remixes, Ø [Phase] released his debut album 'Frames Of Reference' on Token last fall. On the A-side Rødhåd delivers an epic 10 minute interpretation of the first single ‘Perplexed’, while Robert Hood delivers a second, more minimalistic take on “Dirtro II” for the flip.

Laut & Luise's second poodle. The Shoot The Sun EP marks the long overdue return of Manchesters third dimensional space head Norken. Collaborating with Deer, a powerful Brujo from Weimar he met while hanging out in a space trailer during his recent long travels, he managed to create an ethereal delight. These techno sorcerers have conjured an album worthy of its title Micro Don Juan. Erased Tapes label mates Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm record and mix their first collaborative record between Reyjkjavík and Berlin as a surprise release for label founder Robert Raths.

The ambient/electronic work ‘Stare’ is a true family effort from Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm with Anne Müller joining in on cello and all graphics by close label-friend and now in-house designer Torsten Posselt of Feld Studios.
