Discovering a Passion

David McKnight, from Glasgow, Scotland, first discovered his love of trance music in 2009 on holiday in Ibiza. After getting his first set of decks in early 2010 his passion for mixing soon became obvious. While studying for a degree in Sport, David completed a module in broadcasting and was offered a slot to broadcast his mixes on a student radio station, and so in October 2010 Tranced was born.

Tranced

It wasn’t long before the show was getting noticed and in July 2011 Tranced was snapped up by specialist trance internet station, Trance FM.

The show has grown rapidly in the past two years, boasting over 1,900 fans on Facebook and 3,200 followers on Twitter, as well as being listened to in over 50 countries around the world. The popularity of Tranced has resulted in trance giants such as Ummet Ozcan, Cosmic Gate, Sean Tyas and W&W providing guest mixes.

The Rise of Tranced

In March 2012, at the request of listeners, David's show was extended from one to two hours. July 2013 saw David host the 100th episode of his radio show on trance.fm, marking an impressive milestone for the 25-year-old.

The weekly radio show is broadcast every Wednesday at 10pm (GMT) on Trance FM with regular listeners from UK, USA, Greece, India, Germany and many more around the world.

Playing Live

In May 2012 David made his live debut in Glasgow's most famous trance music club, The Arches, playing for Scotland's biggest promoters, Colours and supporting EDM legend Carl Cox. The success of his Arches debut would see Colours go on to name David as a support DJ for some of the biggest names in Trance including Paul Van Dyk, Dash Berlin, Markus Schulz, Paul Oakenfold, John O'Callaghan and Chicane to name a few.

Bright Future

With plans to venture into the world of music production and a summer packed full of gigs, including playing at the iconic Ministry of Sound in London, a boat party in Ibiza, Glasgow's biggest dance music event, Coloursfest, and the Warehouse Project in Manchester, 2013 is shaping up to be a massive year for this talented young DJ!

Born In Santa Cruz California and now lives in Louisville KY, Sterling Harris is an Army Veteran who graduated from Full Sail University on August 7, 2015 (Music Production Degree Program). AKA BigHBeats, He is a Producer who composes, mixes, and masters music. He uses programs such as Logic Pro X, and Protools 11 (and Up) to create music. He also uses various Plug-ins within the DAWs to achieve an unique sound. He is keen in many different genres, and attempts to mash them together to come up with something new for Artists to work along with (Listeners, and fans, to enjoy). He is still learning to this day, and has his hit’ n miss moments with creating music. But one day he hopes to achieve what all amazing producers do…Create Unforgettable Music.
