Most people cannot relate to big numbers, even if they understand them. The current focus on short term changes to the world, and its climate, ignores the huge changes that have taken place over the millennia. The song looks at the changes since the rise of the dinosaurs 240 million years ago until today, using a twelve hour clock to measure the passage of time; modern civilisation has existed for less time than it would take to break a fart on the twelve hour clock.

240 million years ago the current continents did not exist. There was a single land mass we call Pangea. Our current understanding of plate tectonics suggests that there will again be a single land mass in 240 million years time. Humanity might do better to focus on adapting to change rather than pretending they can avoid it.
