It is said of Muad’Dib that once when he saw a weed trying to grow between two rocks, he moved one of the rocks. Later, when the weed was seen to be flourishing, he covered it with the remaining rock. “That was its fate,” he explained.

When searching for the purpose of any artistic endeavor, what you find may either be elusive, or blatantly obvious. The indie rock band The Lymbs seem to fit somewhere in the middle. Their songs differentiate in texture and form, but stay true to a theme fueled by their classic upbringing, and a love for the art. With the ability to pinpoint an artistic idea, and the skills to create environments of thought, The Lymbs say what they want while simultaneously questioning the listener. The band calls New Mexico home, but now resides in Oakland, CA, where they continue their search for artistic solace in the midst of their passion, and bear witness to the passion of others.
