It has taken a couple years for me to realize that when you lose someone you love, you never really stop thinking about them. But, the way you think about them changes. That absence doesn't always get filled with sad memories and disbelief. Instead you begin to remember all of the beautiful and good memories you had. The moments you shared together, not the time you spent apart.

It takes time to heal and to properly mourn. And I couldn't have done a lot of that without my family and most of all my wonderful girlfriend Christina. She has been supportive and understanding since we first met and she has even been kind enough to help me write and perform this song. I don't know where I would be without her. This song took a little over a year and half to take shape, and I hope that this track reflects that process and the healing it provided.
