Hey everyone, welcome to my first evert Psychill/psybient downtempo Psy mix :)
I found an old folder of slower tracks full of Psychill, Psybient, chilled Psytrance, and downtempo Psy - all around a nice chilled 115-125 bpm pace.
So I decided to put a mix together, and this is the result! I loved the slower vibe and relaxing pace mixed with the Psy vibe. Very into this now \o/

Nibana is In Focus with a great talk embracing realms from darkpsy to psybient and psybass, and all surrounding Earth From Above. Don't miss his special mix after the interview.

Nibana is the project of Kevin B, a French producer born and raised in France.
Greatly influenced by Pink Floyd, Tool, Aphex Twin and others, from the age of 10 years Kevin started self-taught production by practicing all the instruments he could find and create all kind of music styles without limitations.

From the creation of a metal band to his electronic project in 2012, many influences can be found in Nibana's Live-Acts : From his Chillout side (Psybient / Downtempo), melodic and aerial, including guitar leads, chant and raw synths, to his total opposite Psytrance project with industrial and intelligent fxs surounded by deep and dark atmospheres and melodies.

In 2014, he released a new album entitled "ASK THE UNIVERSE" on Maia Brasil Records. Without any expectations, it exceeded the 15,000 downloads in less than 3 months and made Nibana in the top 3 "Upcoming Artist" on Psybient.org also chillout top 1 album on reddit & stayed at the top charts of Ektoplazm for more than 2 months.

In 2015, Nibana signed his Psytrance side on OVNI Records and released in April 2016 his brand new album "TALES OF THE UNCANNY" including two collaborations with Ajja and Mark Day. TOTU was praised as one of the most unexpected and best releases of the year.

He already had the opportunity to play on international parties & festivals such as Ozora (Hungary), All Stars (Canada), Shankra (Switzerland) and is currently working (or had worked) with multiple renowed artists of the psychedelic scene.

Jakaan (Jake van Aarst) is one the most highly-respected up-and-coming talents on the Dutch psytrance scene.
His depth of knowledge and intuitive grasp of the genre makes perfect sense when you consider he's been spinning since the tender age of 13, learning his craft on a broad range of styles including Goa, full-on and progressive psy. His sets are high-energy and immersive, guaranteed to be packed full with brilliant, fresh tunes and crafted perfectly to fit the needs of the dancefloor, ensuring a unique, never-to-be-repeated experience.

As well as performing on the underground and squat party scenes in both the Netherlands and London, he has started to establish himself at festivals including Psychedelic Rave,
The Voyager Melkweg, Ruigoord and Psy Fi. His ever-growing list of London gigs includes dance:love:hub, Cohesion, Secret Soma and Futurity and has introduced his talents to a new legion of loyal fans.

Over the last few years, Jakaan has been in the studio perfecting his own sounds and tunes. Just recently he has been collaborating with German heavyweights, Atacama, leading to being signed by one of the best-known labels in psytrance: Digital Om. Expect a flurry of releases and collaborations over the coming months and watch this space for more news and exciting developments.
