From my collection, this 78 by Ray Starita with Arthur Lally's band is the only straight dance version of Laurel & Hardy's theme song, "Dance of the Cuckoos" by Marvin Hatley that I know of. It's on a British Decca.

Skinnay Ennis - Holiday For Strings

Only this Vitaphone type soundtrack disks survives from Eddie Cantor's very first Paramount short made at the Astoria, NY studios in late 1928.  In it he talks to studio executives about making his first tslkie (ignoring his 1923 DeForest Phonofilm debut I guess).  But until the film is found, this is all we have.  An exteme rarity to be sure!
