Mr Scruff came down for a session at Brighton beach club in April '24 and I was really happy to be invited down to warm up. it ended up being a bit of B2B here and there and lot's of fun getting used to Scruff's beautiful mixer and delay set up. You can hear me getting used to this and a accidentally leave the delay return on during 'weak at the knees' by Steve Arrington - which actually works quite well - the space version ;) -  a few wonky moments from me, but would recommend trying out one of those mixers if you get the chance.  

The set started with me for the first hour, a bit of b2b with the funk material, then me for another hour-ish, then majority Scruff doing his thing brilliantly til the last hour or so when you'll hear more b2b fun. I'm such a fan of Mr Scruff, so for me this was a real joy. It certainly kept me on my toes Djing alongside Mr Scruff himself. I also really appreciate him recording the session and letting me share it. 

It helped me learn to worry less about mixing all the time and just enjoy selecting nice tunes with some vibe switchers here and there for re-setting and working through different styles. Cheers Mr. Scruff! And thanks to Brighton Beach House for treating us so well.
