For the 59 release, Lost recordings welcomes back C Critz and introduces Scurrow into the extensive roster as they bring their 2 track single loaded with rumbling bass and voguish leads.The first track titled 'Qualm' starts off with a dissonant ambience littered with warps and convulsing percussion, shortly chased with an enveloping deep sub and crunchy lead. Minimal drums let the synths talk while carrying a constant strong groove.Following up is 'Transcedence' with an introduction of just that,
clean arpegios layered with elevating synths and swells, grounded with with wide mids and an infectious bounce between the drums and bass, accented with subtle vocal stabs that carry the atmosphere of a rich introduction.

"Master Volume" is a collaborative project born from the encounter of two Parisian producers united by their love for funk, specifically the 80's Minneapolis music scene, epitomized by artists produced by Prince, such as "The Time," "The Family," and beyond Prince's tutelage, a band like Mint Condition.

On one side, we have the producer/beatmaker "Lemy Leopard," who has already honed his craft in producing a kind of New Jack Swing 2.0, characterized by edgy, syncopated beats that captivate the body, sometimes approaching the distinct energy of Minneapolis-made funk. On the other, the composer/arranger Buddy Sativa, whose stylistic range, although very broad and somewhat elusive, is fundamentally based on influences from hip-hop, funk, and jazz.

Following an interview of Buddy by Lemy, a camaraderie formed over their mutual love for this music, leading to their first collaboration on the instrumental track "Master Volume 1" as a tribute to this genre. Pleased with the outcome, the two decided to take their collaboration further, resulting in an EP, the second track of which you can already enjoy."
