She has relocated to Egypt for a number of years but is hitting the PNW this summer for a visit and a number of DJ appearances. The mix is a tight blend of early summer grooves touching on some tribal, afro house and tech and is just what the doctor ordered.

007 of our series dives into the mind of Jarry, a Vancouver BC based electronic music beacon who has dabbled in house and all things dance for many years. 

We first met Jarry a few New Years Eve ago and completely appreciated his love for his Allen & Heath Zone 96, which we mixed tunes on into the early morning. Truly a great soul and talented mix tape virtuoso, we knew we had to have him on the series just in time for the changing of the season from Summer to Fall.


"When I recorded this mix, I imagined myself taking over the decks in a small room during the later hours of the night (or early hours of the morning .. however you choose to see it). It’s a time that can sound like anything - dark, trippy, minimal, euphoric, atmospheric, etc. To me, there’s only one rule for these slots: play interesting music. Something for the curious ears, sensitive minds, and floating bodies that have made it this far into the night.

I played this as a closing set to the summer, spanning between quirky, minimal, and atmospheric sounds. Best enjoyed with good headphones and joint."

J.Handel has propagated a vibrant myriad of musical styles from the California coastal culture that shaped his journey into the realm of DJing in 2010. Since, his commitment to creating tailored sonic experiences across diverse environments continues to refine the way he shares sound and space with people. 

Since 2015, J has called Las Vegas home, balancing a versatile presence DJing across the city in clubs, lounges, restaurants, and special events. He also holds ample Wellness collaborations with Rooted Lounge, Action Mastery, Breath House, Shakti Sanctuary, and The Self Nourished. All while maintaining a steady presence as an event coordinator, hosting events with AREA15 and curating his own experiences through his companies Subtle Sol & Subtle Bass.
