Hypnotic Tracks of the Year 2024 (So Far)

For our eighteenth instalment we’ve invited MIR, a raw talent emerging from the deep techno scene in Rotterdam. 

MIR, meaning 'peace' or 'community,' was the first modular space station to orbit Earth, aimed at developing the technologies necessary for permanent space habitation. Inspired by this, my musical taste gravitates toward a hypnotic, dark, and ambient sound that captures a deep sense of peace and community – a feeling uniquely found on the dance floor."

Some words about the mix:
When I think of hypnosis, I envision myself standing in front of a crystal-clear sound system, free of any obligations. My only focus is on dancing and drifting away to the hypnotic sounds. With this set, I aimed to recreate that experience—a space where listeners can lose themselves in the music, allowing the rhythm to guide them into a deep, immersive trance, free from distractions.

And what a debut it is: Four really really strong tracks to let all bells ring indeed. »Backing Track« isn't really aptly named as this track isn't for backing - it is for strictly dancing and spacing out on the floor. No prisoners taken here. The Zillas gear down a bit in »Ether Drift Theory« but of course keep the customers satisfied with a dark and solid number. »Mister Wonderful« features some wonderful breakbeats at the beginning until the bass drum and the acid madness takes over. Last but not least we enter the »Portal To Nowhere« - what a tune! Dark wobbling bass lines, spacey synth sounds, lovely claps - all the right ingredients necessary for a fun time at your local club of trust.
Zillas On Acid already made their name as a Philadelphian institution but now they will take over Europe by storm - thus we guarantee.

Amante del vinilo y del sonido analógico producido en su totalidad mediante samples cortados y lanzados a través de una mpc, acompañados de ritmos creados con distintas groovebox y sintetizadores analógicos.
Orabich nos grabo este magnifico set de house clasico seleccionado de su collecion de vinilos, set el cual nos encanto en nuestra ultima retransmision en el mes de noviembre de 2024.

@Orabich @orabichsound is a musical selector from Extremadura with a career spanning 27 years. Lover of vinyl and analog sound produced entirely through samples cut and released through an MPC, accompanied by rhythms created with different grooveboxes and analog synthesizers.
Orabich recorded this magnificent classic house set for us selected from his vinyl collection, a set which we loved in our last broadcast in the month of November 2024.
