'Under a new draft clause added to the government’s Nationality and Borders Bill, which was proposed by Home Secretary Priti Patel, people in the United Kingdom could be stripped of their citizenship without warning.
The bill also aims to rule as inadmissible asylum claims made by undocumented people as well as criminalise them and anyone taking part in refugee rescue missions in the English Channel..immigration lawyers say the bill breaches international and domestic law.'

'MESSAGE FOR MARK' - In this Soundcloud recording we listen to a cassette tape from Mark Dodds' answer phone at 73 Fernside Road, Balham in 1986. Many of the calls are for Mark, but a few are for other house mates, Richard Watt, Richard Catchpole, Andy Beniams et al. On one memorable call, the machine records a conversation between Mark and Jon Ross regarding their friend Nasti whose eccentric behaviour in a London club, possibly Legends, has caused Mark some bother. Participants in this 30 minute recording are, Mr & Mrs Dodds, Jo Craig, Janet Welby, Richard Catchpole, Richard Watt, Paul Elmes, Chris Roche, Jon Ross, the late John Downing (Express Photographer), Tony Capstick, Fernando, Alison, Anna, Nasti, Brian Turner (Frantic Elevators' bass man), Marsha who is French, Diana Holmes, Sue Ramsey, Roger for 'catch', some drunk Geordie guy, another guy pretending to be a drug dealer, Alex, Amanda, Evelyn, a girl with a NYC phone number, Paul Tillsley, etc. 

The recording is given some context by a ditty from a 1950s radio comedy show, the Goons, and a bed of music from the period.

Numerous telephone messages, some interesting, some not ... !
Crank calls, accidental recordings, moans, dates, not able to contact people, .... pre mobile phone or email era, .. if you weren't in, you weren't contactable - most of these were recorded around 6pm when people were expected to be home.... dream on, nobody was ever in. The tape is over thirty years old and still works - try getting your mobile phone to last 30 years ..!  There could be a book or a play in here... if someone has time to write it.

Nick Love - Jorvic (York) Radio's Love in the Morning is really well informed about pubs and beer and all their social benefits - interview with Paul Crossman - owner of The Swan, The Slip Inn and The Volunteer Arms three excellent beer led pubs in York - about the lockdown and the bigger picture about pubco freeholders expecting publicans to pay full rent through lockdown. Admiral Taverns one of the Big Six has broken ranks with the BigBiz cartel and given all its tenants a rent break indefinitely> THAT is the right thing to do - the others, Greene King, Marston's; EiGroup/Stonegate; Punch Taverns; Star Pubs & Bars/Heineken (one of Paul's pubs is a free of tie lease with Heineken) have all procrastinated with their 'business partners' who make ALL the money for the pubcos - and have not stopped rent demands. Unless they follow Adminral's example there will be no publicans to reopen the pubs when THIS crisis is over and the Pubs Crisis which has been going on for 20 years - will come to a head and 30% of British Pubs will be closed indefinitely.
