Celebrating two decades in business, Technique Recordings have opened up the vaults and handed out the stems of some of their biggest tunes to some of the sickest producers around. We had warnings of what was to come with DC Breaks' remix of Tantrum Desire's 'Airhead' and Glitch City's take on Drumsound & Bassline Smith's 'Skumbag', and cuts from this album have been shelling down raves and festivals all summer.

Now, here's what we've been waiting for.

This album, spanning the full twenty years of Technique history, showcases the real strength and depth of the catalogue. Anthems like Crissy Criss & Youngman's 'Kick Snare', Drumsound & Bassline Smith's 'Crossfire' and Tantrum Desire's 'Reach' all get reconfigured to take heads off all over again. The bossmen have even resurrected their Future Tech moniker to give a 2019 upgrade to TECH 001.

And the array of remixers recruited take us all the way across the spectrum of contemporary drum 'n' bass. The likes of Bladerunner and Marky rub shoulders with AMC and The Prototypes...this album is as musically multi-faceted as it is star-studded. Just take a look down the tracklist to see how much there is to discover, taking in dancefloor, jungle, jump-up and more.

In summary, this is how to celebrate a birthday in style. Some of the biggest tracks from the back catalogue given the remix treatment by some of the biggest artists in the scene. And Technique aren't even done yet. There's a part 2 of the '20 Years of Technique' LP project, and it's coming soon...

No strangers to the bass game, the Anglo-Dutch dynamos have already amassed a major fanbase thanks to their uncompromising production skills and penchant for dark, gritty grooves on  well respected labels such as Horizons, Critical and Nu Directions. Their Ram relationship is already in place with the release of their previous club stunner ’64 Thousand Dollar Habit’ this time last year. This is no mean feat; with a career that includes well respected labels such as Horizons, Commercial Suicide, DSM and Rubik, June Miller’s track record is spotless… And now it’s about to go next level

‘From Autumn To Ashes’ is truly unique. A word that’s far too overused in dance music, this really is one of a kind; and you’ll understand that the moment those crisp guitar plucks bid you a cold welcome. Spooky sonics a go-go; it’s the moment in a B-movie horror where the cute college girls split up in the woods to find their way home. It’s a white knuckle ride on a rickety ghost train. It’s a run through the fog on a mystical winter’s morning when you really should be in bed. It’s the same fine-tuned balance of hunchback punk and laser-locked bass the duo last showcased on Ram just over a year ago with the equally unique guitar-busting floor-blazer ’64 Thousand Dollar’.
 
Naturally ‘Change’ acts as the perfect foil. Dutch singer Sofie Letitre’s vocals stop you dead in your tracks; surging, urging and distinctive. June Miller have brought the very best out in her as they ruthlessly lay the sub-frequency smack down beneath. Searing and tearing, the bass cuts through the mix like with razor-like charm while the weighty kicks double up at will, tripling on the fills for added drama.

We’re talking serious peaktime bizzle here; your crowd won’t know what to do with themselves when this drops but go crazy! By the time June Miller’s trademark strong-arm build up ignites you’ll have nothing but shuddering bass casualties.
