This just jumps out at you with that unique percussion and sort of ominous instrumentation. Great job by this collaboration!

Loved that snare/kick sound in the opening phrases. Mystery in the opening minor movement...loved the transition to major for "strange people are strange"...remorse in the slipping...restitution is challenging. Your vocals really carry that conflicted view with a biting edge. Jussi has worked in guitar parts that embellish and enrich. This is a slice of craftsmanship and performance that is masterful. Haunting! Right to he hesitant vocal posture at the very end

A few years ago, one server crashed on my computer. Then I lost some midi files (including After Midnight) since I had not updated. But recently I found an old master file of After Midnight. So I remastered it.
For a while I thought I could make a whole new recording, but then it would be difficult to get the choruses identical. I am very happy with the choruses as they are.

When I made the composition I had a picture in my head of a woman who was the best dancer in the city. She always arrived after midnight and everyone was enchanted by her beautiful dance. Lucky was the one who got to dance with her.

Fairly simple song I wrote quite quickly (quickly for me anyway) with added attempted enlivening of final chorus by means of cod-orchestrals.
