Edo. G, Shabaam Sahdeeq & Fokis team up to create the Recognize Your Power EP.  The project puts the Boston hip-hop legend and Rawkus alum, together with Lower East Side, NYC emcee/producer Fokis. 

The EP features Ras Kass, Oh No, Planet Asia, Craig G, Torae and DJ Eclipse.  Speaking on the title of the EP, Fokis elaborated saying “one has the freedom and ability to do as he or she pleases. You can work hard or play hard, you can make this kind of music or make that kind of music.  The choice is yours. It’s all about the free will of man and what you choose to do with your power.”

This was a short song I put together over the weekend, after some troubling events. 
The instrumental comes from https://soundcloud.com/sotozen-3 
I downloaded the instrumental quickly, and began to write. 
I guess you could call it therapy.. It's the only thing I know how to do in response. 

Nothing crazy or, profound. 
The song is about confusion, in a sense. Being clouded from events, that happen. 
Not being sure of what you always want, and at the same time, being out of reach for the things you are sure you want. 

Song was written in about an hour, the recording process took the better part of a Monday.
