Nice relaxing track, would have liked a bit more variation in the sounds and composition as it progressed

Good elements, enough musical variation to keep the interest. But with the repetitive phrases in a rather long track, I think it would have benefited from a wider, more varied mix - apart from a bit of l-r panning here and there, all the sounds are in the same, confined space - stereo- and frequency-wise. Still, I like your track!

for me I'm feeling a little impatient with the slow build up, partly because the mix is a bit dull and narrow, and maybe just not enough development for my taste

I like the themes and progression, and the sounds are good, but you need to watch the frequencies more as the sounds cross over leaving no space for each other and result in a muddy mix. Good first entry though, welcome to OSC :)
