J.Yard, a clever artist with a unique delivery. He pulls in his inspirations from all genres. With comparisons of Jadakiss, Fabolous and Jay-Z: J.Yard has come to make his own sound. With deep, heart felt quotes, to witty punchlines throughout his verses: he has the diversity to expand his passion to a wide range of fans and to the front line of music. Real name Jason Yarde,  he comes from a background of music. From being 5 years old playing the "jimbe"(African drum) to his mothers dance performances, to his oldest brother and cousins rapping and being in their own hip hop groups; he has always been around music. J.Yard has opened up for artist such as FatMan Scoop, Sean Kingston, all the way up to Miguel. No matter what he does, the spotlight always seems to find him. He produces his own tracks, edits and writes all his own material. Coming from Freeport Long Island, its a little hard to spread his musical wings with so much clutter of what "real music" is. But with a drive like no other, he is bound for success!
