Thy praise, O’ servant, none can compare,  
A greatness so pure, beyond all care.  

In hearts where Muhammad’s (PBUH)love does not reside,  
Allah’s mercy cannot there abide.  

Madinah’s streets, where peace is found,  
The Cloaked One’s home, where grace does surround.  

Without Madinah, life holds no light,  
In its absence, darkness swallows the sight.  

In the cool breeze, where Allah’s grace flows,  
Madinah’s peace in every breath grows.  

Far from Madinah, life’s meaning is lost,  
But in its mercy, I pay no cost.  

If fate is kind, and guides me true,  
Madinah’s gates will welcome me through.  

In Tawheed’s path, my heart shall glide,  
To Madinah, where true peace resides.  

Pray for me, as I long to see,  
Madinah’s gates, where I long to be.  

O’ Messenger (PBUH), call me, and I’ll come near,  
For without Madinah, there’s naught to revere.  

Before the throne, where worlds do bow,  
I seek Madinah, and I do vow.  

At its sacred door, my head shall bend,  
Madinah, where my soul shall mend.

If love lacks longing, it’s not truly real,  
A heart untouched by pain, can it ever feel?

His eyes’ foot-soldiers overpowered me!

His face is bright, a moon at its fullest.
A light flashes from his brow; his tresses

Are jet black, his gaze intoxicating.
His wine-filled eyes cause inebriation!  

His two eye-brows are like an archer’s bow
Firing arrows of sharpened eye-lashes!

Shall I call his lips red or rubies from
Yemen? His white teeth are a string of pearls.

Shall I call this face life, or the Essence
Of Life, or the life of both the worlds? In

Truth, I should call it God’s greatest glory
From which He created His creation!

This face is really from the Faceless One   
The Faceless One manifests through this face

The Formless One has been seen through this face
Ever since Unity blossomed into

Diversity. This face shows the way to the
Faceless. Nay, not the way, the Essence too!

Yet this secret is not for the common;
Just the Elect may discover this pearl!

By God! May this face stay before my eyes
At the time of Death and on Judgement Day!

In my grave and when I’m crossing the Bridge.
Then alone shall the fake become pure gold!

Your rank is: “Thy Lord shall give thee” and we
Place our hopes in, “So thou art well-pleased”

This test we shall pass as the Gracious said:
“Intercede and thy intercession shall

Be accepted!” Remove thy Yemeni
Cloak and grant me a glimpse of your lovely

Face, my love!  Repeat again those sweet words
Which you spoke in the valley of Hamra.

Come from your cell to the mosque, Beloved! 
All yearn for your radiant countenance!

Both the worlds furnish thy way with their eyes
All men, angels, houris, and faerie-folk.

For all these yearning and pining ones; for
Those dying to sacrifice themselves in your

Love; and all those ready to be your thralls
May those moments of bliss return again!
