Ab, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, began singing at the tender age of five and writing his own songs by the time he was fifteen. Growing up listening to artists such as Boyz II Men, Michael Jackson, he grew a love for R&B/soul music and decided that was the type of artist he wanted to become.
