We begin our search for the finest house DJ's London has to offer.

Going UP have joined forces with Mother Bar for a new Tuesday night event to get over those Monday blues. We want to give up and coming DJ's a chance to stand out get themselves noticed.

What it’s all about…

We are running a competition throughout the summer to find new talent and give amateur DJs the chance perform at some of London’s top venues.

How it works...

PHASE1
Mix submission
DJs will submit a mix lasting 30 minutes of house music only. Applicants will have a period of 30 days to submit their mix to the Going up DJ competition. 

Applicants should upload their 30minute mixes to Soundcloud with the going up logo and “Going Up Dj Competition Entry” in the name. Please send us your application via private message on soundcloud or email GoingUpShoreditch@gmail.com 

Your application should include the following information; 

•	DJ name
•	Contact number and email address
•	Location 
•	Social media links (Facebook, Twitter etc.)

We want you to be as creative as possible so really show us what you’ve got! 
We will select 16 successful applicants will go through to the next phase.
Entries close Sunday 10th May 2015

PHASE 2
Heats

16 successful applicants will be announced Monday 18th May. These applicants will be submitted to our live competition stage and are required to be available for all competition evenings (dates below). Each heat will consist of 4 DJ’s going back to back for a 1 hour set each. At the end of the evening 1 DJ will have done enough to impress the judges and gain their place in the semi-final. 
Please note that if you are unavailable for any of the dates below we may be able to arrange for you to compete on a date which suits you however this is not guaranteed.

PHASE 3
Semi-final 

Once all heat rounds are complete, our 4 semi-finalists will compete against each other to fight for their place in the Going UP final. This will consist of another 1 hour set which applicants are reminded should be original and creative. At the end of the evening, the judges will choose 2 DJ’s to compete in the final.

PHASE 4
The final

The finalists will play a 60minute set each and a further 60 minute slot back to back battle. This is where you will truly have to win over the crowd, interacting and thinking on your feet bringing your entire library and skill set.

The winner of the Going UP 2015 competition will be decided on the night and will receive their cash prize on the evening and gain residency every Tuesday at Mother bar, Shoreditch. Your set dates for the additional London event will be confirmed at a later date. 

To top it off, each night we will be bringing a special headline act for you from the London underground house scene.

Tuesday 9th June – 2nd Heat
Tuesday 16th June – 3rd Heat
Tuesday 23rd June – 4th Heat
Tuesday 30th June – Semi-final
Tuesday 7th July - Final and Party

It's been awhile since I started producing music, a couple of years. It feels kinda weird how it all started and how it's going, doing my own* thing, experimental beats and sounds mixed up together into different genres.

Madison is a DJ,  Producer & Labelowner  based in Hamburg (Germany).
His sets are like an adventure and always good for a surprise. With his varied and driving sound, he moves somewhere between Techno and House and has only one goal in mind: the floor. Always aimed at getting the crowd to party.

Since 2004 he has played hundreds of gigs in the hottest clubs and has been touring Germany's club scene on a regular basis, playing together with the techno elite and proving each time again that he knows how to rock the people. 

In 2010 Madison founded his own record-label "wanted BEATZ" and released the first vinyl records by and together  with his friends and other talented artists.

His own productions move on a fine line between reduced techno, with housy elements paired with a handful of love and a lot of punch.

His releases on labels like What came first, Fenou, Tach & Nacht, wanted BEATZ, Casual Lab, So What Music or Waterkant Playground are highly respected in the music scene and were supported by well-known artists all around the globe.
