Counterpoint Recordings is happy to announce their first release in this new decade, featuring a collaboration single between two of our core artists – Molecular & Lavance.

After a few quiet months, we’re following our rebrand launch with a steady flow of quality music for the rest of the year. Starting off, we present a 2-track single from two of our outstanding inhouse talents.
Portuguese native Molecular has been on the spotlight with a steady flow of releases in labels like Delta9, Fokuz and Skankandbass. Working on his craft since a young child, he went from learning classic piano to creating enormous dirty basslines. 

For the title track he invites Belgium’s Lavance who is no stranger to our catalogue, and who also has been enjoying a highly creative streak, with music featuring on 1985 Music, Overview and his own self-released music. 

Marking the beginning of a new era for Counterpoint Recordings, this single sets the benchmark for what is to come and shines a light on the creativity inside of our core artist roster.

Side B // Molecular – They Won't

"They Won't" sees Molecular go in for a solo track which showcases some of his best skills, by delivering a perfect sonic blend of relentless bassline groove and clinical rolling percussion work – all tied up with the perfect progression. 

Nothing gets old during the track, there is always something new happening, surprising you again and again, right from the start. New sounds, new Delays, new drums, you won’t get bored listening through the whole track, as it is dressed to progress.

The percussive dynamic low end sets the tone, whilst the drum work and midrange tie everything together into a tune which is directly aimed at dancefloors worldwide.
