 
Ryan Bliss (deep house DJ & producer) - hails from the deepest, most Southern part of Africa, where the passion for deep house originated. You can best describe Ryan Bliss's style as deep, driving & edgy house music that’s devoted to the underground.

In 2008 Ryan Bliss and Katia Pereira started Deep Rooted Productions in London featuring artists like Raoul Belmans, GIOM, Jay West and Pete Dafeet for a string of immensely successful parties at Deep Rooted Productions residency Anam bar in Islington.

In Early 2010 he joined the critically acclaimed UK House label - Lost My Dog Records and since then, he has played at all the Lost My Dog Records parties in the UK as well as the annual Off Sonar parties in Barcelona.

Ryan joined Tabula Rasa and MUAK MUSIC later in 2010. Since then he secured a monthly residency at Yousef's infamous Circus X @ The Egg London hosting his own Future Deep floor, where we hosted guest such as Archie Hamilton and Asadinho!

Over the years has played alongside an ever growing ‘who’s who’ of house music – a list that includes Milton Jackson, GIOM, Jimpster, , Matt Tolfrey, Maya Jane Coles, Jet Project,  Pezzner, , Jesse Rose, The Martinez Brothers, Kruse and Nuernberg, MK, Riva Star, Yousef, Hot Since 82, Jesse Rose and so on and so forth!

On the side Ryan has been very busy in the studio working on tracks & remixes, so watch this space!

J_Hazzrd is the alias of Jorge Martins, a DJ and Producer based in London. Unlike many other artist on the scene, Jorge did not grow up around musically talented people, nor was his family enthusiastic about music movements from years gone by and so people often ask him this question. "Where do you draw your inspiration from?"
The answer to that question is the same as it should be for any artist who just does what they do because they cannot imagine doing anything else. For Jorge, his understanding of music was there from the beginning.
Electronic music from the late 80's and early 90's was the catalyst that changed this understanding into a goal and Jorge took the sounds that were emerging from Detroit and Chicago and added them to his own style during his early residencies for parties in his home town in South Africa.
His career has spanned 15 years already and Jorge has played alongside many of the scenes most respected names; Nathan Coles, Eddie Richards, Mr C, Luke Solemn, and Terry Francis, in venues here and abroad. He also promoted his own club night "Wahalla" which had successful nights in London clubs including The End, The Cross and The Key.
As a producer, Jorge has built a reputation as remixer who is not afraid to put his own stamp on a track and can be trusted to deliver results. His own productions draw inspiration from 90's underground scene with a modern twist and usually fall into sub genres of Deep and Tech House.   
With his own EP already out and remixes on the horizon for a string of record labels, 2013 looks to be turning into a very progressive year for Jorge as he continues to make his mark in the music industry.

HOW I MET THE BASS is a concept series, founded and hosted by @marc-depulse. 

It's not about mixing the current charts - it's about your roots. A storyteller. Music from your childhood and youth that once had a big impact on your later doings, showing musicially how you got in touch with Electronic Music back in the days.

Marc tells about his project:

"Techno is a huge family. These are my experiences when I'm coming to different cities and places every weekend. Doesn't matter who you are and where you're coming from. It's about making friends and having a good time together. I have met so many interesting artists during the last 2 decades and all of them love to tell their own exciting story. So I'm inviting my favorite artists from time to time to mix their musicial roots within a podcast."
