'A supremely talented artist, Nōpi found himself drawing admiration from fans and peers alike with his "Parallel Words" EP. Originally released in August 2020, the Ukrainian artist now returns to Proton Music to continue the series with "Parallel Words, Vol. 2".

With trademark skill and musical craftsmanship, "Siba" flows effortlessly like the ever-increasing concentric circles caused by a pebble dropped in a still lake. A shimmering arpeggio and deep kick form the foundation for a splendid array of counterpoint melodic layers to entwine majestically over each other, reaching their zenith at the mid-point breakdown. A grooved bassline that makes its appearance in the early stages then hits its stride in the third movement, combining with Nōpi's impressive production work to club-friendly effect. "Internally Awakening" continues Nōpi's penchant for seismic kick and rolling percussive groove as an innovatively cadenced melodic sequence glitters like raindrops across the mid-range. A sustained bassline progression adds spine-tingling emotion as layers of sound build in intensity through cascading repetition and endless delays. The result is a stunningly original track full of poise and grace.'

Future Blueprints is a celebration of the upcoming generation of producers who are making their own unique mark on the scene, and gives us a snapshot of the excellent quality and imagination out there amongst the next wave of progressive artists. 

First up, Argentina’s Agustin Pengov gives us ‘SEIA’, a melodic masterstroke which oozes class and manages to remain both subtle and furious in the same breath. 

The goose bumps continue as we stay in South America, but move next door to Uruguay with ‘Distance’ from Alex Efe & Diego Barrondo, two of Uruguay’s hottest exports, who regularly collaborate, and it shows with this blistering ride of a track. 

Next we travel to Sydney, Australia, by way of Sam Cooke, AKA Covsky, who proves he really is one to watch on the Aussie new school scene with this emotive heads down groover called ‘Whole 9’. 

We head back to South America, but this time we land in São Paulo, Brazil and are greeted by Gorkiz and his anthemic  ‘Intuition’. 

A second collaboration is next up, and this time we are spanning the globe with Serbia-based Hobin Rude and Argentina’s Nicolas Benedetti and their sublime ‘Orhidea’. 

Last, but certainly not least we close this compilation with the fittingly titled ‘End of a New Era’ from Buenos Aires’ Matias Ocaño. An emotive and melancholic gem. 

We are left in no doubt that the future of progressive house music is in very good hands.

Opening the Spring season, Ziger's Eat My Hat Music welcomes Axel Giova to the label for his debut single. Hailing from Argentina, Axel Giova first emerged in 2020 with a release via Omnia Rec. On the strength of remixes from Kamilo Sanclemente, the EP found a near perfect balance between organic, melodic and progressive house. The next two calendar years would see further successes for Axel, landing standout releases for Freegrant Music and Magnitude Recordings. Now, following an appearance on Steyoyoke's 'Perception' collection to begin the year, Axel makes his Eat My Hat debut with 'Crescendo', alongside remixes from Ziger and Kamilo Sanclemente. 

Getting the release underway with the original mix, Axel marries warm key-changing grooves with buoyant rhythms and inviting electronics. Sleek and energetic, an enticing array of arps elevates mood across the first act, as shimmering effects and clattering percussive arrangements provide a bridge into the main break. Balmy atmospheres and effervescent chord stabs rise across the interlude, creating moments of anticipation and emotion, as an eventual zenith is reached with hazy harmonics and a tasteful drum flurry spearheading an uplifting finale.

The first interpretation of 'Crescendo' is provided by Eat My Hat label boss Ziger. The much-loved Greek artist comes off a successful 2022 which included a collection of memorable projects. Whether being paired with occasional studio partner Mind Conspiracy or operating in solo capacity, Ziger has added nicely to his resume across the year. A string of successful releases for Eat My Hat proved to be the highlight, with ICONYC and SLC-6 Music also playing host to his cutting-edge sounds. Now, presenting his first new music of 2023, Ziger dials in an excellent rendition of 'Crescendo'. Drawing inspiration from the original, Ziger layers misty atmospheres and arcane electronics atop punchy beats and rippling grooves. Mysterious and thought-provoking throughout, it's a heady amalgamation of sound which makes for an energetic yet atmospheric journey, elegantly melting down to deconstructed vocals and ethereal phrasing across a one-minute interlude, before a mystical final act puts a cap on this otherworldly gem.

The release concludes with Kamilo Sanclemente making his label debut with the second and final interpretation of 'Crescendo'. As one of progressive music's most beloved names, the Cali resident has a litany of successes over the last decade. Prolific and consistent in equal measure, Kamilo has earned the praise of genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while showcasing his music via Anjunadeep, The Soundgarden, Replug and more. Now, fresh off a contribution to All Day I Dream's 'Winter Sampler', Kamilo makes his Eat My Hat debut with a gorgeous take on 'Crescendo'. Built around a deep thumping framework, Kamilo focuses on rhythm and groove across the first act, nicely balanced with a healthy dose of arpeggiated sequences with colourful effects. Looking to bring greater emotional depth, the main break unveils a gorgeous primary theme, delicately dancing across poignant vocal phrasing and filtered arps, as modulation peaks for a groovy finale. A gorgeous conclusion to an excellent Eat My Hat debut for Axel Giova, an artist who looks to have a breakout year as 2023 unfolds.

D.Jameson returns to Stellar Fountain after his remix for Pedro Capelossi released in January with his new original music called 'Obsydian'. Hungary based producer Laszlo Molnar's career shifted into the next gear two years ago with numerous releases on Massive Harmony, and it was only a matter of time to get attention from his fellow countrymen at Stellar Fountain. This time he brought us a very spacey melodic techno with a good drive which will surely earn its support from whom likes creative club-music. For the remixer duties we asked Praveen Achary, a really big gun from India (microCastle, Replug, Manual, Movement and so on), and we are really happy for joining us after many years. He produced a perfect club-banger, you will hear it in many-many sets in the next couple of months. We also have man of the moment Dabeat from Colombia who has extremely busy two-years behind him with prestigious releases on Soundgarden, Beatfreak, Clubsonica or FSOE, and we're lucky to have another quality production by him which rounded very well into the release and makes it a must have for everyone.
