Dev Latrell was born on the South Side of Chicago. His father was known as one of Chicago's Legends of hip hop and his mother was known as a zero tolerance hustler in their Englewood neighborhood. He was separated from his mother at the age of 8, where he moved with her twin brother in Ripley, TN. It was this small town up bringing that kept him humble and also where he would establish a soulful blues like feel to his music. 

The rapper has opened shows for artist such as "King Louie" and "Chance the Rapper". He also worked with other Chicago acts like Priest G of Qualo, Big Fist and Alexander Monday of Bridge Boys.

Late 2018 Dev released his first single "Pu**y Power" that premiered on a Houston, TX Facebook radio station called Hip Hop Live Show and got great reviews. The song played on the station for months and even was reviewed by Texas hip hop legend "Lil Flip".

Dev Latrell currently is releasing a EP titled "Lesson or a Blessing" in Early March. The first single off the Ep is "Musiq SoulChild" and is streaming on all platforms. Along with "Smile In Yo Face" and "Toxic".
