Galactic Groove Records is an independent psychedelic trance record label based in the south of Ireland.
Launched in 2013 by Dj Floki to promote & contribute to the underground psytrance scene on the Emerald Isle & beyond.
The first release, a 3 track EP from renowned Brazilian night psy producer 'Diksha' went out on all major download platforms in February 2014 with another 2 EP's to follow shortly after.
Since then the label sound has evolved into a much deeper, darker form, now focused on what some consider a modern take on the dark & forest psychedelic trance subgenres.
Galactic Groove Records strive to promote & release high quality and original underground Psychedelic Trance music from some of the leading artists in the scene & are dedicated to discovering & honing new talent .

Our favorite Sangoma label showcase is back again w/ the sublabel's very own New Yorker, DJ Izzy. His 'Ironic' set for radiOzora will be paired with an interview in The Prophet next week when the set gets archived. Then, as usual, you can read it in an audiopainted version.

Izzy is a New York City based DJ who has performed numerous events lifting crowds off their behinds to find their way stomping on the dancefloor to fresh psychedelic beats. Shortly after attending his first psytrance festival in 2009 he found himself behind a pair CDJs, beat matching his short collection of tunes in no time.
After throwing a mind-blowing set at Luis Campos’s Psycheground in the end of 2010, he found his schedule flooded with gigs almost every weekend, leading him to join Rob’s Radial Engine Tribe and Sebastian’s Paradigm Shift. Only after a year of DJing, Izzy’s potential was immediately recognized, leading him to join Daksinamurti Till’s and Emile Gata Freak’s new sub-label, Sangoma Records.

Since the beginning of his DJ career, Izzy has shared the room with some of the most well known Psytrance artists across the globe. Besides playing countless events in NYC, he has torn up dance floors in Israel, Boston, the Arizona dessert and a quite a few shindigs in Albany. You can hear some of Izzy's favorite styles in his compilations that he released with Michael Cosinus in VA Ironic Creatures (2013) and VA Ironic Cultures (2015).
His sets consist of carefully chosen psychedelic beats ranging from 135 BPM all the way up to 150 BPM. He is very keen on playing the appropriate music for the right time and place. Whether he is playing uplifting and melodic or deep and dark he is known to always keep his sets groovy and psychedelic, leaving his crowd begging for one more track…

Abra is the Dj\Live act of Regardt van Zyl from Cape Town, South Africa.

He started producing electronic music at the age of 23 and rapidly developed a melodic / story telling sound inspired by the more abstract sub genres of forest and dark prog. 

Abra is short for Abramelin and is a name derived from The Book of Abramelin which tells the story of an Egyptian mage named Abramelin, or Abra-Melin, who taught a system of white magic based on the qabala (tree of life), he was presumed to have lived from c.1362–c.1458. 

Abra strives to transport the individuals imaginations to far away mysterious realms of myth and magick and tries to tell untold tales of old and forgotten times when these themes were a normal part of human life.

He has released under record labels such as : Zenon Records, Psynopticz, Uroburos, Forestdelic and Our Minds Music. He has performing at big festivals internationally and all over Sout Africa for almost 10 years now, such as PsyFi,  Origin, Organic Gaian Dream, Love Project, Crater Gathering, Vortex and many others.

He is the Co founder of Our Minds Music ( www.ourmindsmusic.com ) and Our Minds Festival in Cape Town, South Africa.
