because they don’t seek attention.
They appear only
when we stop chasing the noise.

There live our oldest parts,
the ones that do not speak
but remember.
They remember what hurt us,
and what kept us standing.

Sometimes we brush against them
without meaning to:
a tremor in the chest,
a thought returning,
a nostalgia we can’t explain.

They are not shadows.
They are not ghosts.
They are inner lands
waiting only to be seen.
