Today, Mass Appeal brings you the premiere of DJ QBert's 'JELLYFISH LAZER FACE,' a recap of his "Extraterrestrium: The Guided Space Tour," which ripped through the U.S. this past fall.

The mixtape has been described to us as "an odyssey of future bass music," and features tracks from Mr. Carmack, El-P, LOUDPVCK. QBert also delivers a few surprises from his upcoming instrumental release, Extramentals Vol. 1.

This tracks in this mix were chosen because the message behind these songs lead me into deeper thinking. I wanted to make something that when you listened to this mix and let it flow, it will take your mind on a journey through sound to the destination of total awareness. I like music that provokes thought and is more then just pleasing to the ears. Theres so so so many of his songs i could have picked but to keep it reasonable i picked songs i never have mixed before or rarely used just to keep things fresh in front of me. Its not 100% perfect, but i am very happy to post this and share it. I plan to continue working on alot of mixes and this will most likely be my last "pure nectar" mix, im gonna step out of my comfort zone in terms of mixing and begin to get new music and work on mixing more then one style of music.
