At only 19, Jack Blackman is fast developing into one the most accomplished and exciting performers on the acoustic roots scene today. His guitar playing has been described as ‘exquisite' (FATEA Magazine, 2013), and his songs have been generating a great deal of attention from many in the music industry.

Although always haunted by the ghosts of the blues, Jack’s music fuses this with classy song writing and a folk sensibility. His voice has been described as sounding ‘older and more careworn than his tender years should allow’ (Acoustic Magazine, 2011), and he is also arguably the best slide guitar player of his generation.

I am a professional guitarist, singer and writer.  I have played on over 20 commercially released albums down the years (including my own!) and have played sessions for some well-known people from the world of acoustic music. I tour folk clubs and small venues as a solo acoustic guitar/vocal act around the UK and Europe about 3 times a year. I am also a community guitar teacher/mentor in Cambridgeshire, as well as running guitar workshops across the whole UK. Many of the tracks on here are commercially unavailable - including outtakes from some album sessions - so enjoy them for free while you can!
