Klangkuenstler first made his debut on our SUM 5 VA with his massive track ‘Continuum’ and now returns for his first solo outing on Second State with two absolute bombs primed for decimating any dance floor they encounter. 

‘Razor’ kicks off the EP in a concept where fierce, rapid drums and 90’s inspired leads result in a nostalgic yet modern twist to a timeless idea. The title track ‘Dunkle Illusion’ initiates the B-side by utilizing an ominous acid line with sinister intent slithers between racing percussion creating an undeniably wicked atmosphere. Wrapping up the short player is Alignment’s remix of ‘Dunkle Illusion’ which sees the original reworked into a powerful display of devilish melodics while never losing the intensity and force of the original’s character. This EP perfectly blends Techno with Rave sounds, and there is no better way to welcome Klangkuenstler to the Second State family.

Italian techno producer Alignment returns to Regal’s Involve Records with a heavy four track release entitled ‘1992’.  

When not making regular appearances on voxnox Records, Alignment has been releasing on Involve Records, Etruria Beat and Charlotte de Witte’s KNTXT. His tracks have received regular support from the upper echelons of techno, including Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock, Chris Liebing and Amelie Lens, with the latter including his collaboration with Regal in her fabric mix compillation. Debuting on Regal’s label in 2018, he now makes a highly anticipated return to Involve Records.  

Opening with ‘1992’, a thundering cut with rave elements, crystalline stabs and indistinct vocals - this release is a white knuckle ride from the word go. ‘1993’ is next with its offbeat hats and infectous melody as kick drums pummel you into submission, followed by the murkier sounding ‘1994’ which features industrial sounds alongside various zips and zaps. Concluding the package, ‘1995’ is the most hypnotic inclusion courtesy of whirring synths that evolve into a screaming lead.

DLV is the driving force behind Acid Techno Techno Club and now self-releases three of his powerful dance floor weapons.  

Acid Techno Techno Club is an organization run by DLV that meets to discuss, show, and promote acid techno in a local community setting and it has given the Austrian artist and party promoter a cult following both locally and internationally. His hard hitting, no frills and direct sound is pure fire on the dance floor and can be heard on his remixes for KAS:ST and Hadone, in addition to his pounding sets at his parties. 

'Rave instructor' has lasers fired out of a gun shooting across a flat footed kick drum that prowls you forwards. Vocal stabs add fuel to the fire and eventually a frazzled synth breaks free to get hands in the air. The excellent ‘Space Machine' is another futurist techno banger, with twisted acid lines weaving in and out of the hammering drums while bright synth patterns light up the skies. Last but not least, 'Transmission' brings darker energies with its stomping kicks, industrial textures and old school breakbeat flourishes all making for a hugely physical and immediate impact.  

DLV ‘Rave Instructor’ is out on 24th July 2020.
