Subplot Recordings was founded by Jeffrey Tice in June, 2018. Subplot releases tend to bridge Jeffrey's two homes of San Francisco, and his first home, Austin, TX by bringing together and cultivating relationships between the label, its artists, and collaborators. The thing that most sets Subplot Recordings apart from other labels is our uncanny way of blending well known artists, familiar styles & sounds, classic design, and historic club culture, all from the heyday of the 90’s House music scene with new, up & coming artists, updated versions of those classic styles & sounds, cutting edge twists on that tried and true design aesthetic, all for, and to attract, the new school, younger House enthusiasts. People buy our music because we have proven ourselves and already have a well developed reputation for quality music with a solid understanding of the past and a trained eye for the future.
