About Darn
Originating from India, DARN stepped into music production in the year 2018. Immensely inspired by the experimental bass music which included every genre of music he ever grew to like, squashed together in single tracks, his dark, heavy and heart throbbing tracks will leave you astonished. Taking inspiration from mind wobbling artists like Shades (Eprom & Alix Perez) and G Jones. DARN carries the vision to move the bass music further on with his remarkable experiments with sounds and rhythms to produce unique styles arms genres to it. Besides from his dark and soul moving tracks, he urges to bring the experimental bass scene in the front lines and get as much as attention from people as it goes for other genres in India, he aspires to give this youth such mind strucking and captivating music to which anyone would groove. "Riddim and trap is pretty common in the underground scene here, according to me it is something I signed up for, to introduce them to the experimental bass music and I am pretty much sure they would know countless reasons to fall in love with it", he added.

Made his first exceptional international debut on The Electric Movement, LA in 2021 which was held on twitch and released on well-known labels like Headbang Society, Low &High and Juice Collective.

A1. Abstrakt Sonance & Ziplokk – Niles 

'Niles' is a deep skanker with a sound system friendly bassline and an appropriate choice of instruments. All the long, a splendid piece of music filled with positive energy which allows you to keep a meditative state of mind while still being able to tap one’s foot to the beat. The piece is lifted by the dub-oriented percussion work which gives it an amazing dynamic.

A2. Ziplokk Studiomix [20:30]

A mesmerizing mix by Nils himself with only his own unreleased work.

B1. Abstrakt Sonance & Ziplokk – Jungle 

Starting with a peaceful and melodic introduction, the song introduces the listener to a “jungle justice” in a wonky world. The bassline is mental, yet incredibly peaceful and energetic at the sametime, levelled up by a nice stereo work of both producers. The beat leaves the listener in full of control, some sort of understanding of the chaos within society, driven even deeper on the second part of the song with a strong low-end field.

I wrote this song right after I lost all my samples and thus destroyed the projects i've accumulated over the years. Instead of getting mad, I realized it was an opportunity for challenge and growth... Suddenly my heart began to swell and a fire was lit in my stomach. I rested but for a moment and then sat down and faced my doubts. Sound beyond what I believed I was capable of up to that point had began emanating from the speakers, a distant rumbling was getting closer from outside my room. I shook it off and advanced until the rumbling turned into roaring and then the whole room began to violently jerk. Realizing something was awfully wrong, I froze in place. Instead of an untimely demise I was met with content. Joy overcame me as I realized I had learned how to create again
