Don't Wait Up

The song title was inspired by something my parents used to say. I cut myself quite severely in Mexico when I was child, and still to this day I have the scar that came with it. So my parents have always called it my "Mexican Scar". I thought it would be a great title for a song.

The song surrounds the idea of a toxic relationship - both parties know that they can’t carry on keeping up appearances, but somehow they keep coming back to each other; hence the chorus phrase “stuck in a merry-go-round.”
