ELEMENTS was EPIC! From Designing & Building our stage & running Love Camp with our courageous team to ending up having the best set of my life on Tribal Council in front of thousands of people and everything in between, it's hard to describe how i'm feeling right now! So much love for the Elements team and their ongoing support for our endeavours and crazy ideas and actually making them a reality. It was a wild few weeks and i'm still vibrating highly, even with all the craziness thats happening right now! 
Love Camp was again given the opportunity to host the closing party on Main Stage and i'm extremely lucky to have been able to kick off the absolute seshion after closing ceremony on this outrageous stage followed on by my closest mates and Open Records team Christopher Brooks, Wilma, Jesse Kuch & Boy with Boat, all while being cheered on by Trent, David, Sonja & my Love Camp mum and dad Leo & Jade (oh and the Geri Giraffes's) who had the Sub Rosa Couch carried on stage for a front row seat was absolutely paramount. Just quietly I HAD THE BEST FUCKIN' TIME EVER all weekend so i hope you enjoy listening to it as much as i enjoyed playing it. Woop!

Butterz @ Elements Festival 2021 - Love Camp Closing Sesh

Dragon Dreaming 2022 - this festival was the first party I ever attended many years ago, the first time I ever played a set completely made up of my own creations and a place that has shaped my life and sound in so many ways. Seeing it flying again after three long years on hiatus and being reunited with so many special people was an absolute treat. The lake was full, the skies were blue, the grass was green and there were smiles all around. This is a recording of the icing on the cake, being given the privilege of playing the closing set on the main stage was a real full circle moment for me, and one I will always cherish, so thank you to the organisers and everyone who was there for the whole weekend and made it so bloody special. We're thrilled to welcome back tune aficionado and beatsmith J-Slyde with another brilliant mix... this time it's a live recording from his set on Chill Island @ Esoteric 2023...

Here's what he had to say about the set...

"I find chill sets the most un-chill set to plan for. I always begin with lofty aspirations, amassing a huge bucket of music that travels through BPM, genre and style, with the idea that it will all somehow come together on game day.

As I began work on piecing together this set, I was reminded that they never just "come together".

But that's a big part of why they end up being so special.

Then being offered a platform as beautiful as Esoteric's Chill Island to play such a set, further helping to make things that much sweeter.

It also played part of a 4-hour breathe. showcase, with Simon on beforehand. Big thanks to him for trusting me with such an honour!

The mix is loosely split into 3 chapters which cover lo-fi house, trip-hop, hip-hop, electronica, progressive breaks, lots of weird beats & breaks, some garage, a cheeky slathering of dnb and an amen break for good measure. All as cohesively as I could mix them together.
