Amsterdam based label, store, and distribution outlet Bordello A Parigi have been on fire lately, and they’re gearing up to release another excellent project with newcomers Mytron & Ofofo. Like the rest of the Bordello catalog, M&O’s debut is a sweet exploration into funk, italo, and disco. The A1, “Aircraft One,” is an absolute heater, and kicks off with an appropriate sample of a plane taking off. As soon as we’re airborne, we’re hit in the face with a heavy rolling bassline that drives the track into trippier territory, a place where searing, brassy synth stabs compliment keyboard flourishes and authoritative vocal shouts that scream for all to “get up!” FYI, if you weren’t up already there’s something wrong with you!

“Aircraft One” is a versatile track that would work well in disco, house, or more afro centric sets. The rest of the EP takes on a more organic, tropical tone, but continues to press the consistent Bordello A Parigi themes of wonky basslines and heavy synth melodies. Futhermore, this is an impressive debut from a duo we know little about. We will certainly be keeping an eye on Mytron & Ofofo’s next projects as we slowly rinse the Aircraft One EP to death. As for Bordello, the formula remains the same, and you’d be amiss to not keep tabs on a label that’s proven to be consistent A&R’s of unique and talented producers.

Young Lithuanian Liudas Lazauskas aka Roe Deers is the artist behind Rotten City new release. After his debut on the label remixing Silent Echoes (trio formed by Alvaro Cabana, Ivan Smoka and guitar/ bass player from D.Y.O.R. Christian C.) he is now showing some love with three outstanding original tracks full of his characteristic sounds : organic basslines, trippy melodies, freak arrangements and psychedelic guitars in abundance.
Liudas fully reflects the growing scene of his city Vilnius, home of a new wave of artists delivering top electronic and psychedelic club music, that has become the soundtrack of wild clubbing nights in Liudas' hometown.
Mytron & Ofofo (Les Yeux Orange, Multi Culti) the duo formed by Sasa Crnobrnja (In Flagranti) and Jacek Janiszewski turn the original track into an odyssey full of organ sounds and Arabic elements.

Jack Ellister is normally associated with the Fruits de Mer 
label for which he has made a couple of albums and singles 
in classic psychedelic style; rough sounding, energetic and 
inspired. Now he is back with an album of mainly acoustic 
songs, called ‘Telegraph Hill’ which is his third LP and first 
full length for You Are The Cosmos. Originally planned as 
EP to bridge the gap between albums, the focus here is on 
solitary voice with acoustic guitar, with occasional drums, 
percussion, flute, violin, didgeridoo and synthesizers, all 
played by Jack Ellister except for the drums. Those were 
provided by long time collaborators Tomasz Helberg and 
Nico Stallmann. Most of the recordings took place in his 
homestudio on Telegraph Hill in South East London, using 
an Otari 8 track machine, an old Tascam desk and some 
outboard gear. At the same studio he’s producing 
electronic music as Mytron. A special edition of 100 green 
CDr’s in tin boxes was made for the Fruits De Mer 10 year 
anniversary show in Glastonbury in May 2018.
