This is Draw The Line Radio Show with Jacki-e, presenting the best music from female producers and DJs.

It;s drum and bass this week and helping me Draw The Line it’s pyxis who’s based in London. One of a new generation of drum & bass artists, yet she broke through in her early 40s. A discerning, deep-digging selector, yet she never plays a club set.  Pyxis swims upstream. For over 20 years she took care of royalties for artists such as Alix Perez & Hybrid Minds, and finally put her own music out in 2019. In 2020 she released the XX EP, the ground-breaking first all-female produced and fronted EP in drum & bass. A true original, the inspirations for her music are family, home and friends.

Jacki-E & P-Mac are influenced by techno, deep house, jungle, dnb and the ethos of the acid house raves and festivals of the early 90's.  If you listen carefully you can hear the underlying stories which have influenced them in their preference for the darker edge of electronic dance music.
Jacki-E & P-Mac write and publish their own original tracks and re-mixes, play DJ sets in clubs, at private parties and for radio shows and podcasts .
