Lexie Liu is a multidisciplinary, recording artist from China, who’s avant garde approach to pop music has set her apart from her contemporaries. Making her debut in 2019 with her critically acclaimed album, 2030, Lexie broke new ground with her unique songwriting, which seamlessly switches between languages, genres and moods. “Lexie Liu is poised to become the face of a generation of new Chinese artists breaking into the mainstream with a uniquely cross-cultural sound.” (V Magazine) Her most popular releases include the single “Manta” and “MORE,” a League of Legends supergroup collaboration. The Happy Star, her most extensive body of work, released in 2022, meticulously exhibits Lexie’s wildly imaginative soundscapes and the stories it tells. born in 1978
i used to live in rome where i started to play piano at age of 6.
at age of 11 i was amazed by the first techno cd my uncle bought me.
at 12 i started making music for amiga 500 games (all italian titles).
at age of 14 i started spinning with records playing at house parties ;)
at age of 19 i started making music, sound effects and videos for theatre...and started rave parties as well (we called ourselves SPACE INVADERS........understand the double meaning ;)).
now i have a webradio and a video channel as well, where i enjoy playing.
now i still produce fine music and sound effects for theatre and videos.
sometimes i like make some house parties with my friends.
sometimes people invites me to play at freeparties and squatts, rarely i go to clubs for playing.
always i hate who brought the star systems in rave parties.
always i hate who brought rave parties in the clubs.
make free parties not business.
