Glasgow based Shoegaze/Dream Pop/Ambient artist

Shallowdive is Chicago area four piece Indie band that formed from its member’s love of a wide variety of music. From 80s’s hardcore and pop punk, to shoegaze, psychedelia and 60s-70s classic rock, It all comes together in a loud wall of guitar sound.

I am an amateur songwriter and musician, recording under the band name "The Swarm" since 1990. I write out of personal need and pleasure. I'm not a vocalist by any means (it should be apparent!) but I sing my songs to complete them. I've been described as REM fronted by Lou Reed, but vocally all I hear is Lou Reed's dog.
My favorite guitarist is Johnny Marr, followed by The Edge. My favorite vocalist is Jeff Buckley. I like The Smiths, Joy Division, U2, Radiohead, Metallica, Ride, Catherine Wheel, The House Of Love, The Stone Roses, The National, Kent, Durutti Column, and many more. Elememnts of any and all might seep through my songs. Or maybe not.

Raised in San Pedro, CA. Love my three kids. Interests include the ocean, music, movies, books and baseball. Excellent cook! Just trying to make it through another day in peace and harmony! I like Rock n Roll , Blues, Zydeco, Reggae , Hip Hop, and Soul. My all time favs are Led Zeppelin, Los Lobos, Sublime, Bob Marley, Buckwheat Zydeco, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles(of course, Robert Johnson, Blind Willie Johnson, Bob Dylan, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Hank Williams, Lynyrd Skynyrd, John Lee Hooker, Sheryl Crow.
